Shopping in London is an experience in and of itself. The capital has no shortage of fantastic shops to explore, but it can be hard to know where to go.
From big department stores to vintage emporiums, designer shops to small independent gems, every area of London has something to attract shoppers.

CENTRAL
There is a reason why most people coming to London head for its centre.
The touristy centre of London has big department stores such as Selfridges on Oxford Street, as well as an array of big fashion brands and high street names lining its streets.
High street shopping doesn’t get much better than the stretch between Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street and you’ll find most brands you know and love have a shop here.
Central London shopping isn’t confined to Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road though. More high street hits can be found on Carnaby Street and Regent Street, while Liberty’s is on the corner of Carnaby.
You can get serious about designer shopping in Mayfair and on Bond Street (do not miss Browns for some serious retail therapy) or shop at more left-field independent stores in Soho.
For menswear, it goes without saying that you cannot go wrong with Savile Row, world famous for its tailors.
EAST
East London has transformed into a shopping mecca in the last decade. With plenty of vintage and independent stores, Shoreditch and Hackney are great places to go shopping in London.
BOXPARK in Shoreditch is a great place to go and check out on a shopping day, and so is Spitalfields.
Further afield in East London, Westfield Stratford is a shopping destination not to be missed. With every retailer you may want to shop at in one place, Westfield is one of the biggest East London shopping destinations.
WEST
At the opposite end of London, West London also offers plenty of opportunities for shopping.
With high end labels and famous department stores, West London may not be the best place for a bargain, but it’s an iconic London shopping destination.
Knightsbridge is the home of Harrods and Harvey Nichols department stores. But it’s not all about famous department stores. You can find every international luxury label also has a shop in the area.
King’s Road is the place to go for slightly more independent or local labels and you may find a bargain in Portobello and its famous market.
For high street brands in West London, head to White City and its Westfield shopping centre.
NORTH
North London’s Camden can’t be missed for independent shops. The markets and small shops dotted around the area offer a very different shopping experience to the rest of London.
King’s Cross, now the home of legendary school Central Saint Martins, is also a shopping destination worth exploring in London.
Further north, Hampstead offers luxury bargains, small designers and amazing views over the city.
SOUTH
For independent and small designers, you can’t go wrong with South London.
Brixton is the place to go for high street brands, small independent labels and a taste of real London.
No matter where you find yourself in the city, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to go shopping and have an amazing experience.
