Tube passengers could have to wait another year for the already delayed launch of a new fleet of Piccadilly line trains.
The first of the 94 new trains – the first deep-level trains on the London Underground to be walk-through and air conditioned – was originally due to enter service by December 2025.
Last year The Standard revealed this had been delayed until the second half of 2026 but now TfL has admitted the delays will be even longer.
