Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all expected to be busy now the January transfer window is in full swing. The Blues, in particular, look like the early-pace setters as they move for Mykhailo Mudryk, a player the Gunners have already bid for. Latest reports suggest that Chelsea want to outbid their rivals by offering a much bigger contract to the 21-year-old winger, with a meeting set in London.
That deal is set to progress further with rumours of a third bid from Arsenal as Shakhtar Donetsk hold out for £85million. Chelsea have stalled in their pursuit of Enzo Fernandez, with Moises Caicedo emerging as a potential replacement. Manchester United are now said to have made a loan offer for Joao Felix and are set to sign Jack Butland.
Over at Spurs, Antonio Conte is desperate to bolster his attack with Marcus Edwards of Sporting CP being discussed as part of a potenial double deal also involving wing-back Pedro Porro. Mudryk in Arsenal hint amid talks
Mykhaylo Mudryk has ‘liked’ an Instagram post joking that he is “trapped” at Shakhtar Donetsk.
The social media soiree, a favourite of fans hoping for a glimpse into a player’s mind, comes after numerous reports suggesting Mudryk wants to join the Gunners.
But, in their battle with Chelsea, Arsenal have so far failed to agree a transfer fee with Shakhtar.
Chelsea offered to reignite Fernandez deal
Chelsea have failed with a players-plus-cash bid for Enzo Fernandez.
Hakim Ziyech was offered to Benfica plus £87million and two players on loan, according to Record.
Loan spells for David Datro Fofana and Andrey Santos (who hasn’t officially been announced yet!) were dangled the Portuguese club’s way but Chelsea were knocked back.
Arsenal and Chelsea sent Mudryk warning
Shakhtar Donetsk chief Carlo Nicolini has warned Arsenal and Chelsea that £86m is still the price tag on Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The winger is worth a similar price as Antony, he said, after the Manchester United winger’s summer switch for exactly that fee.
Nicolini told CalcioNapoli24: “Given that we have no need for transfers, we said that we will take time to evaluate the strongest players in this position, such as Antony. This is the parameter.”

Manchester United will rival Tottenham and West Ham for French defender Axel Disasi.
The Monaco centre-back made his France debut at the World Cup.
And United are in preliminary talks over a January deal, according to the Mail.
Chelsea announcement imminent
Chelsea are preparing to announce the signing of Andrey Santos.
The Brazilian youngster is this evening putting pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Blues, according to journalist Vene Casagrande.
Chelsea will pay a total of £20m for Santos, their third deal of the January window.
Strakosha up for grabs
Standard Sport understand Brentford have given permission to goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha to find a new club in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old will now see if he can attract any offers to go on loan as a No1 keeper having hardly featured since his summer move to west London.
Strakosha was linked with Chelsea and Manchester United in the summer.

Chelsea ‘will not pay Fernandez release clause’
Another interesting update on Chelsea’s pursuit of Enzo Fernandez.
The Telegraph’s Matt Law says Chelsea never offered to pay the release clause in full – which is around £105million – have no intention on doing so, effectively refuting Benfica coach Roger Schmidt’s claims from earlier today.

Chelsea have announced the signing of Benoit Badiashile on a seven-and-a-half-year contract from Monaco.
The defender arrives in a deal worth around £33million.
Badiashile: “I’m very happy to be here at Chelsea. I’m so excited to start playing for this club. I can’t wait to see the fans and start playing in the best league in the world.”
Chelsea Chairman Todd Boehly and co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali said: ”We’re delighted to welcome Benoit to Chelsea.
