Samsøe Samsøe have just launched their second collab with Italian illustrator Giotto Calendoli.
After a first successful collab in 2023, Samsøe Samsøe and Giotto Calendoli are back at it.
Creating an exclusive range of summer designs, the Milan-based creative and chef captures the spirit of Samsøe Samsøe’s Pre-Autumn 2024 collection. Inspired by his childhood’s summers spent at the beaches near Naples, Giotto Calendoli applied his creative vision to classic Samsøe Samsøe tote bags, T-shirts, and baseball caps.
Calendoli’s drawings of crossword puzzles, parasols and characteristic lettering adorn Samsøe Samsøe’s products and embody the universal experience of summer.
The new collab has been captured by a special campaign, which shows Calendoli at the brand’s headquarters in Nørrebro, wearing looks from the collaboration as well as other styles from Samsøe Samsøe’s PA24 collection.
The shots provide an exclusive insight behind the scenes – both in terms of showcasing the modern office space with its Scandinavian simplicity as well as presenting some of the scenes and phrases that inspired the final designs.
Giotto Calendoli is a creative and chef who combines his two passions to create unique everyday objects such as plates, mugs, pitchers, and more for his brand Handle with Freedom – always complemented by his own illustrations and writing.
