Circular fashion platform RESPONSIBLE has acquired KLEKT, the European sneaker marketplace. The move expands RESPONSIBLE’s presence in the resale sector and strengthens its position in the fast growing sneaker category.
KLEKT is known for its community driven marketplace and long standing credibility among sneaker and streetwear fans. RESPONSIBLE will integrate its re commerce technology with KLEKT’s customer base and cultural reach. Together, the companies aim to increase access to authenticated second hand sneakers and apparel across Europe.
“This acquisition is a natural next step in our expansion,” said Mark Dowds, CEO at RESPONSIBLE. “We are combining operations and technology with an established community of streetwear enthusiasts. As a result, we can scale access to high quality pre loved sneakers and apparel across Europe and beyond.”
Nohman Ahmed, Company Director for KLEKT, said the partnership creates “a category defining opportunity.” He noted that KLEKT and RESPONSIBLE already have a history of collaboration. According to Ahmed, combining technology with the marketplace’s community will support wider global reach in sneaker and streetwear resale.
The acquisition follows a period of growth for RESPONSIBLE. Recently, the company acquired Belfast based resale platform Haru and London streetwear brand Trading Desk. These moves have reinforced its position in premium resale. With KLEKT now added, RESPONSIBLE plans to expand further across continental Europe while also strengthening its UK presence. Users can expect faster service, more features and broader coverage, supported by RESPONSIBLE’s circular commerce technology.
