MessyWeekend, a Danish eyewear brand known for its commitment to style and sustainability, has teamed up with UK streetwear label Parlez to launch a distinctive line of unisex eyewear and headwear. This inaugural collaboration blends timeless design with a retro flair, perfect for leisurely, sunny days by the pool and welcoming the summer.
The collection introduces three updated versions of MessyWeekend’s DEAN sunglasses, each in unique color schemes: Havana, Dark Blue Havana, and Opac Green. These sunglasses feature the co-branded Parlez X MessyWeekend sail logo on the arm and are detailed with gold metal end plates bearing the Parlez logo at the temples.
The sunglasses are made from bio-acetate, a sustainable material derived from renewable sources like wood pulp and cotton linters. This eco-friendly alternative effectively replicates the properties of traditional plastics but with a considerably lower environmental footprint, promoting a sustainable, circular economy.
The range also includes two hat styles: the RIPLEY 5-panel cap and the TYRO bucket hat, both crafted from 100% recycled nylon in Navy and Ecru. These hats are designed with unique sleeves that securely hold the arms of glasses, merging practicality with a touch of 90s nostalgia.
