Real change, as Hari argues, can only happen through regulation on a larger scale. But in the meantime, there are some quick changes to make. Have a radical prune of your notifications, turning off as many as you can. Then make your phone screen look as unappealing as possible. Mine’s a mess of apps dispersed across pages with no sense of order, which is chaotic but an effective signal to an exhausted brain that phone equals bad.
