Sir David Beckham posted a warm message to his children on Father’s Day, telling them: “I promise I will always be here no matter what.”
The father-of-four, 50, is riding high after being knighted for services to sport and charity in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
Yet the momentous occasion has been marred by reports of a family rift involving his eldest son Brooklyn, 26, who did not congratulate his father online.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Sir David shared a raft of photographs showing all four children, including eldest son Brooklyn.
He wrote: “My most important & favourite job in life is being a dad… I’m so proud of all of you and like daddy (sorry boys) tells you every single day I will always be here for you no matter what…
“Mummy thank you for doing the most important part and making me a father there is no greater gift in life than making me a dad… Happy Father’s Day… I love you kiddies more than you could imagine…”

He was showered with affectionate messages in response. His third son Cruz, 20, posted: “You mean the world to us and inspire us every single day dad I love you.”
Middle son Romeo, 22, commented: “Love you always” with four heart emojis.
Sir David’s mother Sandra posted: “You are one special dad and that makes me so so proud.”
The ex-England captain is one of 1,200 people on the King’s Birthday Honours list, along with the likes of actor Gary Oldman, singer Elaine Page and novelist Pat Barker.
The Manchester United legend said he was “immensely proud” at being knighted, having previously been appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2003.
He said: “I’m so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I’m grateful to be recognised for work that gives me so much fulfilment.”

And in a touching exchange, David’s second son Romeo shared a picture with his dad with caption “So so proud you” alongside four heart emojis.
Romeo’s younger brother Cruz, 20, also congratulated his father on Instagram.
He revealed an image of Sir David in a forest, with the caption: “I’m so proud dad I love you. Sir David Beckham. Has a nice ring to it.”
Wife Victoria has also posted in support of her husband, writing on Instagram: “You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official. Sir @davidbeckham!!!
“What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you. Your dedication to the things that matter most — your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family — has never wavered.
“The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday. But above all else, I’m so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much.”

While his brothers posted moving tributes to their father, Brooklyn’s most recent post shows his hand moving over a bag of pretzels.
A further post shows his new brand of hot sauce, Cloud29, with some caviar.
David and Victoria Beckham are said to be “utterly heartbroken” over their strained relationship with eldest son, who also reportedly snubbed his father’s 50th birthday celebrations last month.
Sources suggest David is anxious to heal the family rift, but Peltz is said to be at the centre of the feud.
