Italy visit Cardiff this afternoon to conclude what has been their best-ever Six Nations campaign.
Prior to this year, the 18-time wooden spoon recipients had won just 14 of their 126 Six Nations Tests.
This year, though, they have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. They stunned Scotland at the Stadio Olimpico to open the competition, before adding a first-ever win over England last time out.
After being trounced by England and France in their opening matches, though, there have been marked signs of progress.
Steve Tandy’s side ran Scotland close in round three, leading 17-5 at half before being beaten by way of George Turner’s 76th-minute try.
They were similarly valiant in defeat by Ireland last time around, losing by a margin of ten after trailing by just two at the half-way stage.
Wales will come into this Test, though, knowing full well that they have a chance of breaking their now 15-match losing run in the Six Nations.
