Considering it came out in 2013 when people still queued up at midnight for blockbuster games, the chances are you’ve probably played GTA 5 by now.
Maybe you even bought it on PS3 way back when (and again on PS4 and PS5). That’s just how essential GTA 5 is; a juggernaut that continues to top the list of most downloaded PlayStation games.
So, why bother playing now? GTA Online for one. Rockstar is still pumping out updates for the multiplayer mode, including the recently released Doomsday Heist that sees players taking on an evil tech baron based on Elon Musk (hair plugs and all).
And, with GTA 6 landing next autumn (fingers crossed), you can kill time by running amok on the streets of Los Santos while blasting Frank Ocean and INXS.
It’s enough to make you feel like you didn’t spend the last half a decade waiting in vain for a new GTA game that never arrived — well, almost.
Meanwhile, the two retro Legacy of Kain games should get you primed for the main event: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered on Tuesday, December 10.
