The Fashion Awards 20022 presented by Diet Coke took place at the Royal Albert Hall in London Monday evening (December 5th) with big winners on the night including Bella Hadid, Wales Bonner, S.S. Daley and Pierpaolo Piccioli, who was crowned designer of the year!
Hosted by Jodie Turner-Smith, the annual event raises the profile of and funds for the BFC Foundation charity which awards scholarships, grants and mentoring to future proof the pipeline of talent to the fashion industry.
The occasion also celebrates the role of fashion in “self-expression, escapism and optimism”, and recognises the exceptional individuals, brands and businesses whose imagination and creativity have broken new ground in fashion globally over the past 12 months, “transforming the possibilities of fashion today”.
In a statement released following the ceremony, Chief Executive of the BFC Caroline Rush said: “I would like to congratulate all the nominees of The Fashion Awards 2022. Each one of them contributes a remarkable amount towards creating an industry that promotes self-expression and individuality, perpetuates joy and optimism and pioneers in innovation and positive change. I look forward to celebrating the incredible work of our nominees, Leaders of Change, Award winners and the wider industry.”
