Hadjar & Lawson Put Fans in the Designer’s Seat
Visa Cash App Racing Bulls drivers Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson have teamed up with Airtasker to launch a unique design challenge. The goal is simple: create a one-off helmet for their crew. The brief is clear – it must be big, bold, and badass.
This contest is more than a fun idea. It is a heartfelt thank you to the team who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
“The pit crew have been crushing it, and we want to find someone who can design a special edition helmet for them,” the pair explained. “Something wild, unforgettable, and creative as a thank you gift they’ll never forget. They’re the heartbeat of everything we do, so we want to create something as legendary as they are.”
Shining a Light on the Pit Crew
Pit crews are usually noticed only when something goes wrong. In reality, they are the backbone of Formula 1. They deliver two-second tyre changes, carry out lightning-fast repairs, and keep cars alive under pressure.
Now, thanks to Hadjar and Lawson, the helmets these unsung heroes wear are set for a redesign worthy of the spotlight.
Open to Everyone – No Experience Needed
The competition is open to absolutely everyone. Whether you are a professional designer or a casual sketcher with a wild idea, you can take part.
The entries will be reviewed by Hadjar and Lawson themselves. After that, they will hand-pick a winner. The chosen design will be transformed into a real helmet and revealed at the Qatar Grand Prix in December 2025.
