Citizen have launched an exclusive collection of watches inspired by Avatar. Launched in three different designs, the watches capture a variety of Avatar scenes.
In line with the film’s focus on sustainability, the watches are designed to never need a battery. Powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive, the timepieces convert natural and artificial light into power.
The men’s watch – called Men’s Wave – is a stainless-steel design featuring Avatar’s sea-creature Leonpteryx. It has a 3-hand dial, date function and luminous hands. In addition, the watch features a chronograph, dual time zones, a perpetual calendar, and 12/24-hour time. It is also water resistant to 100 metres.
The women’s watch – called Ladies Tree of Souls – features an Avatar ‘Tree of Soul’ print. With a 3-hand dial, crystal markers and luminous hands, the design is enclosed in a Black IP stainless-steel case and has a black leather strap. In addition, it is water resistant to 50 metres.
The final unisex watch – called Unisex Wave – showcases Avatar’s landscape of oceans and reefs. It has a silver sunray dial and is enclosed in a brushed silver-tone stainless steel case with a sustainable brown leather strap. It is water resistant up to 100 metres.
