The British Beauty Council has revealed British Beauty Week will take place from October 23rd to 27th 2024.

Now in its sixth year, the annual event will run under the theme of ‘A Beauty Industry That Looks Like You’ to highlight the importance of representation and inclusion in British beauty.

As well as bringing together a mix of different brands, consumers, press and policymakers, a two-day hub will open in Covent Garden and feature a series of panel discussions from influential figures in the beauty industry.

Along with revealing details of this years week-long celebrations, the British Beauty Council have announced plans to launch an industry-wide beauty census, said to be the “largest research project of its kind”.

Designed to discover what beauty means to is workers and consumers, the council hope the census will shift the perception of the beauty sector, and lead to important changes to help it thrive by involving more than half a million industry professionals.

Millie Kendall OBE, Chief Executive of the British Beauty Council, said in a press release: “We want to hear from everyone from those working in the head office to shop floor assistants, local salons, at-home hairdressers and warehouse workers.

“Beauty really does ‘look like you’ and we need to know what you think so we can address the problems, maximise the opportunities and make the industry better for those who work in it and its customers. It’s time for the industry to unite in confronting its challenges head-on, so we can reveal its true value to all.”

Results of the census will be announced later in the year.
