British heritage brand Barbour has once again teamed up with award-winning animation studio Aardman for its 2025 Christmas campaign, starring the nation’s favourite duo — Wallace & Gromit.
Following previous collaborations with Shaun the Sheep, this year’s festive film celebrates Barbour’s craftsmanship, humour, and British spirit through an original short featuring Wallace’s latest invention: the Gift-o-matic.
The Story: Wallace’s “Gift-o-matic”
Produced in Aardman’s signature stop-motion style, the new Christmas advert brings viewers back to Wallace & Gromit’s cosy home. The story begins with Gromit wrapping a present for Wallace when the inventor bursts in to reveal his newest creation — a machine designed to make Christmas gifting easier.
Wrapped in Barbour’s exclusive Winterberry tartan, the Gift-o-matic can wrap, gift, and even pull a cracker. But, in true Wallace fashion, things take a comic turn when the machine accidentally unwraps Wallace himself, leaving him covered only by his new Barbour tartan scarf.
The campaign captures the warmth, generosity, and humour of the season — proving once again that Barbour, Wallace, and Gromit have Christmas gifting covered.
Celebrating British Craft and Heritage
The collaboration also highlights Barbour’s authentic tartans, which feature across the brand’s seasonal accessories and gifting collections. The festive Winterberry tartan, exclusive to AW25, plays a central visual role in both the film and the collection.

Barbour has also produced a limited-edition run of Re-Loved wax jackets inspired by Wallace & Gromit. Each piece has been repaired using tartan patches and unique design touches. All proceeds from the jackets will go to Oxfam, supporting the charity’s global relief work.
Continuing a Tradition of Giving
Barbour’s Re-Loved initiative continues to champion sustainability through repair, re-waxing, and circular design. The Wallace & Gromit jackets will be available both in select Oxfam stores and via an online auction, with 100% of proceeds going to the charity.

The campaign builds on Barbour’s long-standing heritage — over 130 years of craftsmanship rooted in the British countryside — and its commitment to creating timeless, durable pieces designed to last for generations.
