American Vintage is reimagining stripes for its SS23 collection. The brand has given the fashion classic a modern twist, offering stripes in various designs and colours.
“We usually have a pretty standard idea when it comes to stripes. With this collection, we wanted to give them a modern feel, with an updated twist for men, women and children,” said Céline Jeandaine, Style Director at American Vintage.
Retro stripes on soft knits take inspiration from the 80s, while the classic marinière striped shirt has been updated in colourful boucle.
With a nod to its Southern France’s origins, American Vintage also offers a mid-season coat with umbrella stripes, the YVONA.
While staying true to its DNA of exciting colours and materials, the new SS23 collection is updating stripes and ensuring they are essential this summer.
The French brand has gone from strength to strength since it was founded in 2005. Starting with a redesign of the basic t-shirt, American Vintage now has men’s, women’s, and children’s collections.
