Following the success of her AW24 collection, Alexa Chung returns for SS25 as Creative Director and Designer for Barbour’s latest edition of The Edit by Alexa Chung.
Once again collaborating with Barbour’s in-house design team, Chung has curated a capsule collection inspired by her personal experiences and deep connection with the brand. This season’s range seamlessly blends Barbour’s classic heritage with her distinctive style.
Reflecting on the collection, Chung expressed her enthusiasm: “I’m in love with this second collection. The codes and language we have built together create playful takes on Barbour’s heritage. My favourites include the bright yellow jacket and fire engine red raincoat. I focused on colour and fun, which also carried through to our camping trip-themed shoot with the legendary Tim Walker.”
The collection features outerwear, clothing, and footwear, including showerproof jackets with tartan linings, bomber jackets with cord collars, and knitwear crafted by Harleys of Scotland. The footwear range introduces a slip-on clog and a wedged wellington boot, adding versatility to the lineup.
Photographer Tim Walker brings his signature whimsical style to the campaign, drawing inspiration from nostalgic camping trips and festival culture. His imagery captures the collection’s playful spirit, seamlessly merging Barbour’s heritage with contemporary fashion.
Barbour’s Group Commercial Director, Paul Wilkinson, highlighted the authenticity of the collaboration: “Alexa’s long-standing relationship with Barbour makes for an exciting and genuine partnership. Whether wearing Barbour as a child or shaping her iconic Glastonbury style, she brings personal experience that enriches this collection.”
Key pieces include the Barbour x Alexa Loren Wax Jacket, inspired by the Icon Border Jacket, and the Barbour x Alexa Pattie Showerproof Parka, available in three colourways. Other standout items include the Barbour x Alexa Anna Bomber Jacket, Barbour x Alexa Lizzy Coat, and the Barbour x Alexa Rebecca Utility Gilet. The knitwear range offers striped jumpers, cardigans, and cable-knit vests, while the footwear selection provides stylish and practical options for both outdoor and urban wear.
The full collection will be available from 20th February online at Barbour.com, in-store, and at selected retail partners.
