Craghoppers Workwear has launched its first-ever collection, crafted specifically for the innovative and industrious. This new line extends Craghoppers’ reputation for high-quality outdoor gear to the professional clothing sector. Established in 1965 in Batley, a town with a rich industrial legacy, Craghoppers draws inspiration from the dedicated individuals who work tirelessly in this area.
Throughout the design process, input was sought from Yorkshire’s Off Set Workshop and the charity Walking With The Wounded, ensuring the workwear meets practical needs. Barnaby Ward of Off Set Workshop praised the brand’s efforts towards sustainability and addressing environmental concerns like microplastics, highlighting the genuine commitment of Craghoppers to this new venture.
Joel Oxberry of Walking With The Wounded expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting the alignment between the charity’s goals and Craghoppers’ values of resilience and innovation. He emphasized the potential impact of the workwear line in supporting veterans as they transition to civilian life and contribute to their communities.
The collection features a robust lineup of 10 items, including jackets, t-shirts, hoodies, heavyweight fleeces, trousers, and accessories, all designed with sustainability in mind. It incorporates Craghoppers’ cutting-edge technologies such as AquaDry and ThermoPro, developed from decades of expertise in outdoor and adventure wear.
Caroline Sheehan, Designer for Craghoppers Workwear, shared insights into the functional design elements of the collection, such as adjustable panels and durable materials in high-stress areas to enhance performance and comfort in challenging work environments.
