This summer, GUINNESS joined forces with pioneering British fashion label LABRUM to unveil a limited-edition summer collection. It celebrates the deep connection the UK holds with Sierra Leonean emigrants.

The highlight of this collection is a distinctive print that narrates the cherished memories of LABRUM’s founder, Foday Dumbuya, in Freetown, Sierra Leone’s capital. Building on this collaboration, they are set to host two workshops for budding designers.

At these complimentary workshops, attendees will get the chance to listen to Foday, the esteemed winner of the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design 2023, as he delves into the collection’s journey, from concept to completion. Additionally, participants will be tasked with crafting their own Guinness-themed print design, all under Foday’s guidance.

Each workshop will conclude with Foday selecting a standout design to be printed on a fabric sample for the victor. Furthermore, every attendee will receive an exclusive GUINNESS x LABRUM tote bag from the summer collection and a special edition pint glass, items not available for sale.

The sessions are scheduled for 24th October, from 1-3pm and 4-6pm, at Labrum’s studios, 180 Strand, London. Those interested can register for free on the event page, but spaces are limited. Participants must be 18 years or older.
