Britta Marakatt-Labba is famous for her embroidery art inspired by Sámi mythology, which tells captivating stories. Her designs beautifully merge with Klättermusen’s durable and functional mountaineering equipment, designed for challenging terrains worldwide.
To showcase the collection, Britta chose friends and family near Kiruna, who have a strong connection to the Sámi community and the region. They contribute their unique characteristics and personalities to create a perfect synergy between Britta’s art and Klättermusen’s craftsmanship.
Britta Marakatt-Labba said about the collaboration, “As somebody who enjoys spending time in the mountains, creating a collection with Klättermusen felt like a perfect fit for me. I wanted to work with these images of nature, to preserve storytelling that can be shared with the generations that come after us – not just the Sámichildren and youth but others too.
