British photographer Rankin, has partnered with Vinted to produce an editorial shoot styled exclusively with items from the secondhand fashion marketplace.
Serving as a reminder that “pre-loved is a better lifestyle choice for the climate, your wallet and wardrobe”, the fashion story follows the release of Vinted’s first-ever Climate Change Impact Report conducted by the climate tech start-up Vaayu.
Compromised of six looks that explore the individualistic possibilities of wearing pre-worn fashion, images from the shoot will appear in Rankin’s Hunger Magazine, as well as in an upcoming exhibition at the Ernst Leitz Museum in Wetzlar, Germany, which opened in late May.
Explaining the creative vision behind the campaign, Rankin says: “More sustainable lifestyles are finally in fashion, and not just for the season but for life. Sites like Vinted are at the vanguard of this, carrying the torch for a brighter, more climate-conscious future. So my goal for this shoot was to portray more eco-conscious shopping options through a high fashion lens.”
