Heritage knitwear and outerwear brand Peregrine Clothing continue the tradition of crafting hard-working staples, in natural fibres with the launch of its reimagined SS23 collection.
New products in the capsule include a linen update of the Hudson Aran sweater, and Waffle Shawl cardigan, as well as the all-new Linen Grange shacket.
Linen has been introduced to the collection as the ideal fibre ahead of summer, as its strong, lightweight, breathable and absorbent. Sourced from Northern France, the family-run business say it has “less travel miles than cotton” and as a resilient plant it can grow in poorer conditions and need less water.
Peregrine CEO Tom Glover says: “I feel that linen is not only a useful practical material but it also breathes more life into a garment. The texture is less consistent than cotton, the natural material contains a grain that can’t be replicated so no two garments are the same. I love the way it looks and feels.”
