EDEN review: The raw energy and emotion alone is worth the trip

BusinessEDEN review: The raw energy and emotion alone is worth the trip

After playing the remainder of DARK, EDEN concluded his set with two fan-favourite throwbacks as an encore. The first being Wake Up, from the End Credits EP, featuring fellow Irishman Leah Kelly in an emotional piano ballad dreaming of the promise of better days, rising into a massive wall of sound mimicking the unavoidable overwhelm of managing one’s career and personal relationships. Finally, he played rock + roll, the long-standing fan favourite and another emotion drenched electric guitar ballad climaxing in a gritty, distorted guitar solo dotted with synths while leaving space for the core emotional element: his voice and lyrics. He concluded the track, as well as the set, by blending in Fumes from the same EP; a mashup that’s played in many fans mind countless times brought to the stage.
