A report, known as the 1953 Trust after the year of Epstein’s birth, revealed that a vast majority of his wealth would go to Karyna Shuliak, the Belarusian woman he was dating at the time.
While Epstein’s estate was valued at approximately $450 million at the time of his death, a recent court filing put the value at around $120 million due to fees, taxes, and restitutions.
But who is Karyna Shuliak? What exactly will she receive in the will, and who else is set to inherit?

Karyna Shuliak, a 36-year-old dentist, was arguably Jeffrey Epstein’s closest confidante at the time of his death.
According to reports, she was the last person to speak to Epstein on the phone before his suicide.
Shuliak is believed to have been the financier’s girlfriend at the time of his death, and was bequeathed $100 million from his estate, documents released by the US Department of Justice show.
Epstein states in the documents that he had contemplated marrying Shuliak, and wanted her to receive his 33 carat diamond ring.
It is reported that Shuliak came to the US in 2010 when she was 20 years old, having struck up a relationship with Epstein while living in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

The documents include a number of emails between the two, in which Epstein is seen coaching Shuliak on how to secure permission to enter the US as a “cleaning lady”.
In an email from 2012, she told him, “I love you! You are the purest man out of all men”.
According to other documents from the release, Epstein paid for Shuliak to complete her dentistry studies at Columbia University in New York.
A CV for Shuliak released in the files stated her address as the headquarters of the Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation.

Epstein also hired Arda Beskardes, a New York based immigration lawyer, to help Shuliak obtain first her green card and then US citizenship, which came through in 2018.
Beskardes wrote to Epstein: “Now she’s an American you should throw her a big ole party with a mechanical bull, red, white and blue balloons and deep-fried snickers bars on flag toothpicks.”
According to Sigrid McCawley, a lawyer representing Epstein victims, Epstein’s trafficking ring used “sham same-sex marriages” to “get citizenship for girls that he wanted to keep in this country without facing a high level of scrutiny in the citizenship process.”
Epstein also supported Shuliak’s parents, regularly sending them over $20,000 a month while also covering her mother’s breast cancer treatments.
Currently, Shuliak is living in an apartment in Manhattan owned by Epstein’s younger brother Mark.
What did Epstein leave for Shuliak?
According to the 1953 Trust document, Shuliak should receive a total of $100 million, which included a $50 million annuity to be set up for her benefit.
Epstein also wanted to leave Shuliak much of his property portfolio – including his $27.5 million ranch in New Mexico, his $10 million Paris apartment, and his New York townhouse which went for $51 million, as well as his two private islands.
According to handwritten notes in the margin of the will, the 33 carat diamond ring was meant for Shuliak as an engagement band.
The ring, described as being “flanked by baguette-cut diamonds mounted in platinum” was intended for Shuliak “in contemplation of marriage”.
Unfortunately for the Belarusian, she will not inherit everything Epstein willed her.
Much of his estate was sold off to fund a compensation fund for his victims, which has paid out $121 million to settle their claims.
Many of Epstein’s remaining assets are still tied up in the court system in the US Virgin Islands, where he was based.
Who else did Epstein include in the will?
Forty-three other people were named in Epstein’s will.
Ghislaine Maxwell and Epstein’s younger brother, Mark, were both given $10 million, while a number of Epstein’s employees are also named.
Darren Indyke, Epstein’s long-time personal lawyer was bequeathed $50 million, while accountant Richard Kahn was left $25 million, and Epstein also left $5 million to friend Martin Nowak, a Harvard University professor.
Daniel Weiner, a lawyer for the estate, said that no beneficiary would receive any money “until all creditors and claims on the estate have first been satisfied in full, including claims for compensation made by women who suffered abuse at Mr. Epstein’s hands.”
