Dartford Crossing tunnel closed after lorry crash as drivers warned of delays

A lorry that was over the permissible height entered the left tunnel and struck multiple pieces of essential tunnel infrastructure resulting in extensive damage to the tunnel ventilation systems, CCTV, and the fire detection and suppression system, National Highways said.
