Comedian and actor Michael Spicer made his name during lockdown with his gloriously goofy behind-the-scenes political spoofs The Room Next Door. He now brings that same satirical edge to the stage in Hope All’s Well, combining sketches, short films and stories. Alasdair Beckett-King is another video-savvy stand-up who has risen to prominence with exquisitely constructed pastiches, such as his homemade send-up of Scandi noir dramas and his animated sprite with a Sunderland accent and lots of attitude, The Little Man Who Lives In The Crisps. ABK’s show is called King of Crumbs, but he’s actually a king of comedy.
